hey. I currently have a PS2 V7 modded with a Magic 3 (i think that's what it is...i mean I did ask for that) and right now, it's not playing the new game backups.

So right now, I am guessing the chip is probably fake or outdated and I want to install the new Magic V. I am planning to order it and get someone to install it for me but don't know who will do that.

Does anyone know any trustworthy places/people that allows you to bring your own chip and they'll do the installing?

    Thanx

You can go to Pacific Mall. They have store in there that will mod your ps2 for you. You don't have to order one online. You can get it there. Here is the location of the mall.

I don't think your problem is the mod... I know others with magic3/3.1 that get the new games working. Advice from me to you... if you decide to get it done at pacific mall make sure that you get them to test everything infront of you before you pay them and you take the system, I've heard a lot of horror stories about bad chip installations from that place.

I went to a store called Amusements and they modded my PS2 there and I never had a problem with them and a couple of other people that I talked to never had a problem with them either. If your problem in not your mod chip, you will probably even look at your PS2 for you. They will even test your PS2 right in front of you before you pay for it to show you it is working.

ok I went to a place at Metro Square (around Steeles and Warden) and the guy there showed me that it works before I paid for the install. That was last year and I even burned my own games to play and they worked. btw, I use Verbatim DVD+/-R and I heard that's like the BEST media to burn on so I don't think the problem is that.
