Hi, I am new in this forum so I am sorry if this topic is covered before, but I couldn't find it. When I export still pictures (using Premiere Pro ver. 1.5 using the Encoder) the files becomes m2v files. I would like the files to be mpg files but I am not using any sound. Is there a way to do this? I can add an audio file to the project (without sound) or I can rename the file from m2v to mpg to use it in Windows Media Player - maybe there is a smarter way to do it??? Hope my question is understandable...
Well a Mpeg File without Sound is a M2V file which you can Just rename to MPG if you want and it will Play Back without any problems but it will still be a Mpeg File without Audio (M2V).... Maybe you should Try it before you Post a question as you would Have Found that Both renameing the File to Mpg or adding a Blank audio File in premier would have worked....
Hi, I know that both works. But in the old Premiere (Premiere ver. 6.5) the format is mpg even though it is only picture. What I am looking for is a way to export to mpg in the new Premiere Pro without renameing and without a blank audio file. Is that possible?
No I do not think it is Possible, well at least with the Encoder Built into Premier as It may be Possible with one of the other Mpeg encoder Plugins Like the MainConcept Mpeg pro HD Plugin or the CinemaCraft encoder SP Plugin and encode to a Mpeg-2 program stream(mpg) as Opposed to an elementary stream (M2V).... Cheers
