Doing some early Christmas shopping, and after looking through 6-7 pages in this forum, I didnt see any that mentioned good premod systems in Canada, and Divineo.ca (whom I usually buy from) doesnt appear to offer premodded Gamecubes. Can anyone recommend a shop from Canada (Qoob or Viper)?

Whereabouts are you located. You may have a local one, depends on which city you're in.

www.modchipman.ca they sell a pre-modded system for $144.99 US, In my opinion I would just go to walmart and buy a new jet black system for like less than $100 then mod it myself, or if you want you can send it to me and i'll mod it for you for $25, but you pay shipping, I live in winnipeg btw

highly doubtful, adjusting the POT on a GC is a modification that the end user has to do themselves. After installing the chip they test to see if it goes to the Gamecube startup and will boot original games still, maybe even check with a backup of their own on whatever media they presently use, which may be different than yours and you might need to adjust the pot yourself

I do mods. Plus, I will adjust the POT settings also. And it will be tested with DVD-R media. It will be tested to work with Ritek G04s, TYs, other known good media plus originals of course. But you're on the east coast and I'm way on the other side so I won't be able to help you. :(

then why bother posting? hell, i'll install it and test media on it and adjust the POT also, but POT settings may need to be changed between types of media.

Well, sorry for posting then Mr. djrazor who charges to do a simple 4 to 7 wire mod. The only hard thing about installing a mod chip on the gamecube is taking all those millions of screws off.

well, what i'm getting at is that there are other buisnesses who install chips and do custom mods for the Gamecube and charge for this service. Plus it does seem that windsong was looking for someone to do it for him, which I bet he is willing to pay for someone to do the labor

Here's a place thats a 45 minute drive from st.kitts. They do awesome awesome work. You can get the pre-modded system with sx ship and viper GC case for $200 flat. From what it seems like, they use pretty old systems like stuff that has been refurbished or from flea markets. Most pre-modded systems are like that. Your better off buying a new one.

I personally rather do it myself. This coming saturday toys r us is having a pokemon bundle sale. It includes XD and coluseem for $130. You can re-sell these easily for $50-60 as a 2-game bundle thus paying for most of your mod work. At least this is what I'm going to do. I'll be doing the mod myself. If you want, I live in mississauga and I could do it for you if you'd like. Not sure what I would charge though.
