Your times are far too long - Ensure that you are operating in DMA mode and not PIO.

For DMA mode you would check this through device manager - here's a guide:

Now the pixelation well that sounds like brand of discs used and or burn speed. Which are you using? And what's the burn speed?
Good one to use would be Verbatim or Made in Japan Sony, Fuji or Maxell.

The software you are using is one of if not the best combo out there - it will handle any copy protection out there now.

i think i found the problem
first season of lost is on dual layer disc so it is 8.4g
i think if i burn on a dl disc it would work.
i think! cause regular movie only takes like 40 min.

If you are using anydvd with clonedvd2 40 minutes is still to long to do a back up a movie.

What are the specs of your pc???

It takes me no longer than 15min to back up and burn when using clonedvd2.

    A few hints/tips

    1) Turn off all virus and firewall protections
    2) Check for spyware, malware and viruses
    3) Do a disc clean up
    4) Defrag your HDD
    5) turn off all screensavers etc.etc
    6) Run no other progs when copying
    7) Use a registry cleaner
