For awhile now I've had this loud crackling noise that comes from my speakers and my headphones.... I've tried everything to try and fix it. I've tried different slots for my sound card, different drivers, unintalling and reinstalling, I've taken things out of my computer so my sound card isn't close to anything (I placed it in the bottom pci slot so there wouldn't be any interference and its not next to anything else). So I pretty much give up if no one has a solution to this lol. I hear its a conflict with my mobo and sound card and if that's the case I was wondering if anyone out there could give me some advice on going back to my original onboard sound so I dont have to listen to this crackling anymore. I tried uninstalling all of the creative and SB Audigy software and just installing my mobo sound drivers but it gave me this message (Driver not found! Reboot your system, and run this setup again.) Here is the link to my drivers for my onboard http://support.asus.com.tw/download/download.aspx?modelname=K8V%20SE%20Deluxe&SLanguage=en-us There is probably a simple solution to my problem but i'm a total noob when it comes to computers. Do I just have to re-enable my onboard sound card? And if so... how do I go about doing that? Thank you to whomever reads this long post and gives me any advice at all.... lol. I mainly would just like to know how to convert back to my original onboard sound but if someone out there knows how to fix the crackling noises from a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS on a K8VSEDX ASUS motherboard then please feel free to comment lmao . Thanks again for reading this and giving me any advice at all, it's much appreciated
I don't think this will be of any help since I have integrated sound. But I've noticed that when I run some programs in the background... notably Azureus and possibly eMule, I get a lot of pops and crackles. Just a thought.
Wouldn't converting back be just a matter of uninstalling the soundcard and reinstalling the on-board sound in device manager... then restarting the PC? Probably while the PC was off... physically removing the sound card might be a good idea so Windows won't detect it.
Thanks for the advice everyone I went back to my onboard sound card and my sound is fixed... no more crackling! =) . The main reason I installed the sound blaster audigy zs, was so that I could use a microphone... my onboard didn't really work with a mic for some reason but I got it working kinda... it's all good. Again thx for the advice everyone.
