I have a serious problemss with my mic recording. When I try to use Voice chat IE on CSS, the Mic records game sounds and amplify them to like 100x louder than normal and I cant use the MIC on any net game because of that. omebody told me that it is cos I have configured the computer to record what I heard, but I cant find any options to modify that setting. I can only find basic windows mic editing options and the won't help me much.

I use Win xp 32 bit.

BTW sry for my bad english.

have you tried lowering the volume in the audio mixer? double click on the speaker in the task bar. click options, then properties. select the recording button and check okay. now you can lower the input volume on the microphone. this should solve the problem.

Hmmh.. The Windows dont't allow me to touch mic volumes, even if I remove the check from that square. Maby the problem is, cos I have microphone volume adjuster on Audio output.

I taked some screenshots, if they can help:

First mic options, what are grayed out: IMAGE

    Then a audio options: IMAGE

    Primary output: IMAGE

    Secondary output: IMAGE

    EDIT:
Well I tried to use skype sometimes and I had that "Allow Skype to modify your sound settings" tab selected, but it only helps so lttle. It automaticaly lowers the mic volume to minimium, but it won't help.
