    hi

i'm converting AVI files into MPEG (to put on vcd naturally)

we all know about the old "VBR audio stream detected" error msg in virtual dub. and usually saving an uncompressed wave then using TMPGEnc will USUALLY fix this problem. but i have run into a couple of AVI files that need to be encoded at obsucre bit rates (most reacent one was 141.6) and this ofcourse is quite a distance away from TMPGEnc options of 128 or 160. I tried using both thease (being closest to the desired bitrate) and both came out way to far out of sinc.

anyway my question is how do u guys & gals get arround this freaquently occuring promblem.

do u use a difrent program that allows u to input your own bit rates?

is there some way to fix it using TMPGEnc??

    i don't know

    help is greatly appreciated.
