    1. How can I put my home movies I have on VCR tapes to a DVD Disc??

    2. How do I put my recordings of my Sony Hi8/Digital8 onto a DVD disc??

Now if there is free programs out there I can do it with....well i'll go that route. I am not a rich man. Or if there is a semi-cheap way of doing it..please let me know. I just want to move them all to DVD discs.

I got a TSSP DVD R/RW in my laptop.

    Thank You in advance.

You'll need a video capture card for the computer. Get one that will do both Analog and Digital signals. Connect the VCR or Camera to the card and using the software that comes with it you'll be able to get the recordings to your hard drive. You most likely will have to convert them to DVD format. So you'll also need a conversion program. Once completed, just burn to DVD's.
