I bought a psp a while back and went through the whole deal of reading learning searching and all that to first hack it. But it all went ok, but was confusing at first. So this time I'm going to ask questions before i buy. Now i wan't to buy a dsi, only to use a homebrew called Colors. The cameras and bigger screens makes me prefer a Dsi over ds lite. But then i hear there is pen pressure issues with colors on a dsi. If anyone of you know anything about that, then please let me know. So, to make it homebrew enabled. Do i have to buy extra stuff, or can i do it on my own like with the psp? If i have to buy, what exactly do i need? DS or DSI (depending on how colors work for dsi.) If i can do it on my own, where is the best info on this. ? Thanks!
you need to buy a flash cart, that's all i am saying ... if you are to lazy to search and read go for a walk, get your energy up and come back and read then...
I knew there was few people here who retorted to disrespectful replies as "being lazy" when people asked for help, from when i was reading about hacking a psp. But if you just don't want to help then don't bother with being disrespectful either. It just doesn't take an hour or two to learn all you need for someone totally new to this stuff. Last time, i had to spend several days to search and learn. What does unbrick mean, what is a magic stick, what does it do, can i make one, or do i have to buy one? Pandora battery? He said this worked, he said it didn't. This guy asked the same question, reply "lazy". Then the question was, can you hack it, which version is it, which year, which continent! Pandora battery, can you make it? No, Yes, Dangerous. Make the stick, where to download, here there, no you got to be a member, which version... That version sucks, no this one is better. With this you can't with that you can. Can't be over this size, some say. So when it's all ready all done, you've made a pandora, you try to make a magic stick, and it didn't work. Then you got to search some more. And then you bricked it, and it can't be unbricked, but it can, but if it's this type of bricked you're doomed... Information is all over the place, some say this some say that, which to listen to which to not is not easy to tell. If you just had a link even, to a place where all the info that i need was, then that would be great. If you ain't got the time to do that then I'm not asking you to, I'm asking those who are willing to help out.
Well said! M3iZero or Acekard 2i, tried both, personally I prefer the M3 as I like the Sakura interface but both are very good. www.dealextreme.com - cheap but about 3 week wait Buy a 8GB micro SD - will hold everything you want
Everything you need to know can be found here http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/176 and here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/675807 you might want to read the third question since you are asking such a broad question.
kittymat: Ha man thanks, i was thinking "Now I'm gonna get it..." Well I'm only out to use a homebrew called Colors, at least at first. Allot of money used only to have something portable to paint digitally on... Heh. I know of a good site which seems to have everything, delivers in my country within 3 days or so. http://www.modnet.no/ M3iZero, Acekard 2i, R4 they all homebrew enable it? The site i'm thinking of talks highly of M3i though. lumpybuns: I'll take a look.
M3iZero (there are fakes called M3i Upgrade etc) but the M3iZero works really well. (you need to buy a flash cart,)- All he needed to put (that's all i am saying ... )- if wanted to make a point (if you are to lazy to search and read go for a walk, get your energy up and come back and read then...) Just inflammatory Why?
http://www.modnet.no/product_info.php?cPath=174_175&products_id=3607 I'm thinking this is a real one then.
That is the one - it is quite expensive though http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.26858 less than half the price however you may have to wait 3 weeks to get it
If you have nothing to value to post, don't post. See how later replies gave the odd pointer instead....
Kittymat: Yeah, it is expensive, but I'm rather.. Ehm. Impatient when it comes to buying stuff. I would often pay a bit more to get it quicker. I just get this childish Christmas feeling. "i want to open it now!" Can't wait.
