http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/P...WishListNumber=10240588&WishListTitle=Com2008 Does it look good? As in everything is going to fit and work together. How good is it? I been lagging behind in the pc scene. Also is it true that the Radeon HD 4850 has heating problems?
The HD4850 CAN have heat problems, it depends how well ventilated your case is. Even if you do get trouble, the problem is easily solved with a quick software fix: http://www.xtremesystems.org/FORUMS/showthread.php?t=192932 One the whole your build is excellent, I wouldn't expect issues from any of it. Beware, though, DFI boards aren't for the faint hearted, so to speak, they are piled with very tech-lierates-only options, and can be a little confusing at times. if you want a simple manoevurable BIOS, I suggest this instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128344
Everything looks good. My personal preference is a Quad core, but whatever. I have a 4850 and it DOES get hot. All you have to do though is turn up the fan speed.
Interesting though, as the heat problems with the 4870 are completely absent from mine. Maybe it's just the 4850s that get hot, I thought it was both.
