I don't really know anything about building a pc from scratch or know anyone that could help me out so that leaves me searching. I was wondering what are your opinions on the most powerful pc geared toward graphics I can get for around $2,000?

Building from scratch can save you money because you know/get exactly what you want. You don't need that much experience in computers to put together a motherboard and other related things. I've built a few computers myself and the margin of error is small(just patience). If you are willing to look at 2,000 machines, building a computer from scratch is a better idea. The best gaming processor is the AMD FX which is very expensive. Or you can look at the AMD dual-cores and find yourself a very good video card. My opinion is that you shouldn't spend over 1,000 on pre-built computers.

Thnaks, I haven't been too impressed with what you get for your money with pre-built machines. Any sites that give you a pretty good idea of what you're getting into if you build a machine?

Lots of sites, but we might as well start you off with:

    www.newegg.com

There, you'll find all the good deals. But, wait till after the holidaze, the prices will come down.
