Hi, I have recently converted a AVI to MPEG2 than authored and burned it onto a DVD-R 4.7 GB. Everything worked fine although I made one careless mistake. I decided to ignore the error I recieved from TMPGEnc DVD Author. The error was too high of a video bit rate. Later when I played the DVD, I found out it was right, the video was going much faster than the normal audio. 1.) Can anyone recommend me a encoder which can encode from AVI to MPEG2 NTSC. It should be advanced where you get to select all settings. Like the video bitrate and everything. The frame rate and more. TMPGEnc won't work with this movie for some reason, it starts loading the movie and than it just crashes. I have used WinAVI Video Converter, and it's great but it's just that I do not get to select the video bitrate. So can anyone recommend another encoder much similar to TMPGEnc with a little faster encoding. 2.) What is the average Video Bit Rate for standard NTSC DVD? When I added the mpeg2 file which I had converted with WinAVI into TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.6, I got an error that the video bitrate was too high for a standard DVD, and it said the average video bit rate was something I cannot recall? Does anyone know? If anyone can answer my two questions or inquiries ASAP it will me much greatly appreciated. Thank You DiRect
