Hi, I'm doing a uni presentation on compression and I need to find some technical info on divx but I haven't had any luck so far. Does anyone know where I can find a decent site that explains how divx works? I don't need really in depth information as the presentation is only 5 mins long, but I do need some info on how divx works, rather than just what it does (ie. compress video to a fifth of DVD sizes). Thanks.
Well, generically Divx is a form of MPEG4... so, this should help: http://www.chiariglione.org/mpeg/standards/mpeg-4/mpeg-4.htm Note there are some differences between MPEG4 and Divx, but thats probably out of the scope of your presentation.
