Need to Burn VCD, SVCD & DIVX to DVD

    I have a load of Films which are in file format. They are all either .mpg or .avi. It is my understanding that these files could be SVCD,VCD or DIVX. I am wanting to copy them to a DVD because my PS2 (Which i use for DVD playback) will not play any of them formats. How can recognise the type of files that i have?? Can i burn them to a DVD in DVD format?
