first of all i must say i havent been to this site in awhile and im back and its still just so beautiful *tear* haha anyways on to my problem...

okay i have an 80mm fan i need to place in my xbox (im putting this thread here since i think it would work best here and the fact its on an xbox shouldnt matter) i dont have a spare fan adapter so i need to solder and tap into one of the 4 pin power cables (there standard power cables) i need to know which wires to connect to which :) pictures would be a HUGE help if you can provide them.

thanks in advcance to whomever can help

also i should add i know i can purchase a cable that does this for me but i feel like doing it myself :)

    nevermind i figured it out

on the fan the yellow wire controls how fast (and is not needed if tapping into a 12v wire on the power cable) the red is the power which needs to be connected to the yellow wire on the power cable. and the black is the ground which should be connected to the black wire closest to the yellow wire :)

thats just for anyone who had the same problem as me and searched the boards looking for an answer :)
