I have a Seagate FreeAgent Xtreme 1.5tb hard drive that I bought over a year ago, probably almost two. My house was burgled and the power supply was taken, though oddly not the HD itself. There is absolutely no indication on the device as to its power requirements, other than an "AC" symbol. It takes a standard-looking co-ax plug.

I have written several times to Seagate and never received a reply, and their website doesn't give even a clue as to what the power supply is. Can anyone please tell me what is required, ie. what voltage, center +ive or -ive, and confirm that it is AC?

The most positive info I've seen so far. Mine also has eSATA. I presume yours isn't actually the same model? Is it Seagate FreeAgent Xtreme?

I wrote again to Seagate yesterday and again have received no reply.
