need to mod to connect to computer?

    if i want to back up some of my games, do i have to mod my xbox to be able to connect to a computer and pull the files off the xbox?

    yes, you do and also must have a custum/hacked dashboard on your xbox.

    Softmod or modchip
    You will need to have one or th3e other.
    The softmod most people can do easily themselves, and for free i might add. But some things are just harder with a softmodded system then with a chip like installing a bigger HDD
    That and the whole getting banned from Xbox Live thing.
    I have seen may theories on not getting banned when playing games on a siftmodded Xbox, but since i do not use Xbox Live i can not confirm any of them.
    I choose the always free Xlink Kai online gaming if i play.
