I have an MP4 file and would ultimately like to get it to DVD. Normally, I would use something like TMPGEnc to encode it to mpeg2 and then author it. Unfortunately, TMPGEnc does not support MP4. What other program could I use to accomplish this?
Don't guess I have that plugin. When I try to enccode the file I get a warning that says that the file is encoded using a MPEG-4 profile that Quicktime currently does not support. ???
It comes with it. The VFAPI Quicktime input plugin that you appear to be using does not. QT's mp4 support kinda sucks. Only supports SP MPEG-4, MP AVC (not even) and LC aac. Make sure that dshow has a higher priority than qt.
You can download and try xilisodt dvd creator. It can convert popular video formats and burn them on DVD. Support video formats AVI, MPEG, WMV, MP4,etc. Find in xilisoft.com.
How do I make the diectshow plugin have a higher priority? In the VFAPI Plug in priority order section, directshow multimedia file reader is checked. The MP4 I'm trying to encode is 448x336, 29.97fps, w/ LC AAC audio.
