Need to split up an AVI

    What's the best, and hopefully the easiest way to split up an AVI into multiple parts? I have WinRAR, but what else do I need and how do I get started? I want to be able to set it up where if you extract the first WinRAR, that it will automatically extract the others too to form one file.

    If you are just looking to split an AVI file into more than one AVI file (i.e. split a 1400MB AVI to two 700MB AVIs) I'd recommend using VirtualDub.

    However, if you are looking to archive an AVI file in a split archive RAR file (i.e. Movie.part1.rar, Movie.part2.rar) just change the number under "Split to volumes, bytes" in WinRAR before creating the archive.

    This will make it so the volumes are connected and will automatically look for the next part when extracting.
