Anyone got a unlock code for Nokia 6111 S/N: 357974002252588?

I bought a cell a few months ago in Mexico, and would now like to unlock the phone to make it work USA and Canada.

This is the version data I got on the phone:

    Version: Nokia 6111
    V 03.58
    07-02-06
    RM-82
    (c) NMP

    Hello d3m0nedge,

I tried to enter the first code:

#pw+486367101435377+7# and got "Service not allowed" as answer.

I guess I have done two tries now, and believe it thus is only one more to go.

I did find a mentioning of a mastercode for the phone, which according to http://www.lur.nu/nokia_mastercode/security_code.php should be
357974002252588. Can this be used to unlock the phone in case I try a third time with failure, or be used somehow to prevent the hardlock prior to trying a 3rd time??

In case not, are there any other ways to prevent the hard lock after a 3rd try??

    Hi.

That's just a different generator. The mastercode for your phone has no function with network locks. If you didnt puy the phone brand new in store, there could be a possibility that the previous owner has attempted to unlock via code and have failed either 3 - 5 times. I'm sure your handset has 5 chances though. Have you tried #1 and #5 yet?

I have now tried both the two first ones without success. I have held off the last one for now, considering if I should try one more time to ask some of the local providers here - the last cell company I cell company I asked here said I should rather buy a new phone as they did not know how to unlock it, but there are more I guess...

The phone was brand new when I got it. Did not think I would run into these issues when buying it...

Wonder how much it would be if the phone does lock the next time...

To try or not to try... That's the question...

Thank you for your help :)
