I've tried and searched for the startup and shutdown sounds from Windows 95 to Windows Millenium and had no luck in google...so if any of you guys know where to get it at or if you're still using one of the old windows, please upload it at http://megaupload.com/ or http://www.rapidshare.de/

What i really need is Windows 98 startup and shutdown and sure i do want the other windows sounds too. Once you've loaded the sounds you'll get an address to the files you've summited and once that's done, post it here along with the given address.

Though I have a copy of just about every version under the sun, and maybe quite a few others here... what you are asking is a big favor.

What do we get out of it?

    :p
    :)

Well, im not really sure what i can give you guys in return...but there's almost no where in the world wide web that i can search for it...If you can't get all of my request, then could you atleast give me the Window 98 startup? By startup, i mean once you start your computer there this medium size window popup and play the sound/music with it which i love it every much when i used to have Window 98. Sometime i just listen to it for like 5mins or so cuz it was soothing. XD

heres what ya do. You pirate these oses using bittorrent, install them to a computer, then email yourself the wav files that contain these songs you like so much.

Or if you want, I could do it if you send me 30$ money order :)

Unfortunately, it's not really that easy. I'd have to find the CAB files they are confined in, and extract them. (there's only 74 of them!)

The easiest way to get them, would be to do as Crazy suggested (installing Win98), or finding a computer that still has 98 on it and copy all the contents of the (C):\Windows\Media folder.

nope. not as simple as looking inside the cab files or else I would have posted that. b4 last post I looked inside cabs on a copy of xp tablet edition for "startup.wav" and didnt find it. And none of the wave files there were it either.

Well maybe with a better prog than winrar. But I think it is located in some of the other bin type files.
