Having a very similar problem. I have Vista, DVD Shrink 3.2 and Nero 10. Unlike you, Shrink doesn't ask me to insert a blank DVD after backing up the disk (even though I have the "Enable burning with Nero" box checked). Manual input into Nero isn't working either. Nero 10 DVD Video compilation says backed-up VIDEO_TS folder is empty. I suspect the solutions may be different for Vista and W7, but I can't find any advice on how to resolve this for Nero 10. Have wasted $50 and several days worth of time :( please help us!

Both of you should try using IMGBurn to create, and then burn, an .iso file from your output folders and see how you get on.

Perhaps something changed in the Nero 10 code which no longer allows other applications to access its Burning ROM or such. I'm just speculating of course but this is quite a common problem it seems.

hahahah.. "backed up video_ts folder is empty" .. that's because nero can't rip a modern dvd.. or even one from 5 years ago..

get a proper ripping program dvdfab (look around.. heaps of info on this site about how to rip a dvd successfully) .. give up with nero.. it's bloated garbage... unless you NEED the capture part, which is quite good.. and use imgburn for all your burning.

that's the trouble these days.. people buy this crap bloatware and never read what it isn't capable of, which in the case of nero is lots and lots....

tongs, re-read the forum rules as this site does not condone piracy.

Yes, Nero 10 and Dvd Shrink no longer work together especially in Windows 7. You can still do the job by asking Dvd Shrink to save the file as DVD files in a separate folder, once done, open Nero Recode, to recode the contents in the folder and burn them onto disc afterwards. One extra step, but with i7 quad core, it flies by very quickly.
