was there ever a version of nero released that had the ablilty to read and duplicate copy protected dvds that people owned for home personal use. My friend told me there was one released a couple of years ago.

you'll need to buy version 6 of Nero, which will be able to support your burner. dvd burning only arrived in the late 5.x versions

either get the updates to your nero or more likely get a newer version that can see the dvd as a burner & not as a cd burner.

actually, ddp's right there, there are a few more updates to 5.x over and above your version (the last 5.x i used i think was 5.5.10.78) . But if it's it's still not supported, THEN you'll need to buy 6.x or a.n.other burning program

hey creaky and ddp, i will update to another later nero. is there any nero version out their that can back up my originals which is copyright protected instead of having to use dvdxcopy. These are my movies that i would like to have an extra copy of. i was told that one of the early versions actually had this ability. does anybody know which one.
