    Need more info.

Use CDR discs, not CDRW's as older systems cannot read CDRW's with music on it.

What program are you using to make the music CD's?

You rip it to .wav format on the harddrive, but you need a program to convert it to .cda format when buring which is what music CD's are.

If the option is available, you also need to "finalize" the CD so no more recording is possible.

For me, using Nero 5.582, I hit the "New Compilation" button, choose "Audio CD" and everything is laid out before you.

Nero also has a pretty concise "Help" feature that will take you step by step through the process.
