nero 6.0 and burning cd-r

    i am having a problem burning to cd's with a dvd burner. i am burning with a Sony dual rw drive and nero v-6. when i set up to burn the program asks for a cd-r/rw disk. i have put in a cd-r and a cd rw and each time it keeps asking for a cd-r/rw and won't burn to the cd. its like the program doesn't recognize the cd at all. i reinstalled nero v6 and still the same problem. i have no problems copying using dvd disks. any suggestions?

    have you set the media type to cd? or cd/dvd? maybe you set it to dvd only.

    i have set the type to cd. i didn't have any luck with that.

    without pulling the burner i have a sony dvd+-rw/+-r/cd dual layer - double layer drive. i bought it 11/13/05.

    I need a number. Download & run Nero info tool (you can get it here on aD) that will tell you.
    Also what exact version of Nero 6 do you have? EG. 6.6.0.18/6.6.0.14/6.6.0.xx??

    my nero burning rom is version 6.3.1.13 and my dvd rw drive is DRU-810a
