I just had a pioneer dvd burner installed and tried to use Nero 6.6.0.5 to burn a non-copy-protected dvd onto brand new tdk media. The first four discs Nero said burn successful but when I tried to play them back in a stand alone player they crashed after the menu and basically did not work at all. I tried using DVD Shrink and it gave me a perfect burn so hopefully that rules out any burner fault. I was told not to use this Nero and update to Nero 7 - might this solve the issues? I used the latest tdk media dvd-r and also upgraded the firmware but my Nero doesn't like standard dvd-copy. any ideas ?
Getting 7 might solve the problem but will cost because its not an update to your version. I would try version 6.6.0.18 first. It is an update to your version for free. It is a realy stable version as well.
whompus thanks for the speedy reply I might actually have access to Nero 7 sooner rather than later ... something else I think my current Nero does is give me dodgy errors when I shut my XP down after burning so I am hoping ver 7 might solve this too. cheers
