I have a Toshiba Satellite A75-S209 in which I had a Toshiba CD/DVDW SD-R6472 professionally installed. I am using Nero My problem is that 'somtimes' while usung Nero Recode I get an "illegal disc" message at the end of the burn stage, it seems that my burner will not finalize the DVD for some reason. With the same DVD's I can however opt to first recode the files to the hard drive and then burn them no problem. Any help or insight would be gratly appreciated.

Hi frills, Nero cannot burn from a disk, most are encrypted, and thats why you get that message. Rip it to your HD first, with dvdshrink which is free, and then burn it to a disk. you shouldn't have anymore problems. Go to dvdshrink.com and dn/ld the program, and your in business. It even reauthur's so you can take out all the junk. Goodluck!
