    follow the guides:
    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/356114
    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/272946

update to 6.6.0.18 which is more stable version of Nero 6:

Before updating to 6.6.0.18 save the serial #, uninstall Nero, then use the cleaning tools : http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/eng/Clean_Tools.html
then do a registry clean up and defrag...... then reboot!

    install package one:
    http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe
    then install package two:
    http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/Patch_for_NVE3.html
reboot and you're good to go!

you should alway keep your hard drive running cleanly and defraging is important to keep it running at it's fastest. When you are using your Hard Drive burning DVDs it eats up a lot of memory on the drive! files become defragged (located all over the drive and not consistant) so the hard drive works harder to locate file and folders which slows things down. why make it work harder when it doesn't have to..... and you'll notice a difference in speed too.

    a free registry cleaner:
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

    to defrag:
    hit [bold]START/ASSESSORIES/SYSTEM TOOLS/DISK DEFRAGMENTOR[/bold]
use that program to defrag your drive..... be aware that it takes a while for it to finish so do it when you don't need the computer. Mine does it real fast because I don't use my internal hard drive much... everything I do is on the external Hard drives that I have so my defrag time is minimal.
