It's taking between 30 to 45 min to burn a cd. I'm using cd-r 700 mb cd's and i never had a problem before. I'm using a HP desktop runnng XP, i removed and reinstalled Nero 6.6, still doing the same thing, slow burning. Hi mlucas31 Your HP Writer on the secondary ide channel is set to PIO mode - the sloooow mode. So let's get the drive back in the faster DMA mode. Here's a guide - you just need to do the secondary ide channel. DMA Guide
