Hello all A question that I'd like to have answered is that if AnyDVD is installed on a PC, by all means AnyDVD shows that if and when a DVD is inserted into a DVD-ROM drive, the disc would appear to be region-free and not copyright protected as AnyDVD removes all PUO's, RCE's and other prohibited operations on the disc. Is this correct - Windows and the system would see it as being a normal disc? Hopefully, Nero should then be able to burn the disc straight as it is without having to rip the disc to the HDD first with DVD Decrypter or any other ripper. Please let me know so that I can point my friend in the right direction with regards to his burning DVD's using Nero and other programs. All your help and suggestions are gratefully appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you in due course. Regards
Yes, programs like AnyDVD and DVD43 work in the background. So if they are working with Nero, then Nero would recognize the disc as suggested.
scf_au Many thanks for letting me know about this - it is much appreciated. I will let my friend know about this so that he can carry on with burning his CD's, DVD's and so on. Thanks again and regards
Of all the software combinations I have used to burn a DVD, my favorite is AnyDVD and Nero Recode. Since AnyDVD only removes the encryption you must have software like Shrink to compress the movie so that it will fit on one disk. But if you already have Nero you dom't need anything else. With Nero Recode You can manually select those features you want (just like Shrink) and then Nero Recode compresses the movie to fit on one disk. Or you can select Main Movie only and then Nero will remove and compress everything automatically. Furthermore, you can select Burn at Once so you don't have to wait for the movie to be copied to your hard drive. This combination of AnyDVD and Nero Recode is fast and the quality is very good. Also, if you don't want to buy AnyDVD, you can use the free DVDFab Decrypter but you have to wait for it to copy the movie to the hard drive before using Nero Recode. I tried DVD43 before I bought AnyDVD and found it to be completely incompatible with Nero 6.6.
