Hi, I took an MPEG-2 file and created chapters using a program called ChapterEdit. When I burned the DVD using Nero 6 the Chapters came out fine, but there was no audio. What happened?? Before I hit 'Burn', there was a pop-up message saying something about a missing DVD plug-in. This is the first time I have gotten that pop-up. Thanks, greenda4
Can you please download and install a program called gspot version 2.60 RC1 (dated 19th Nov 2006) is available from http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/gspot.cfm Home page http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ and use this software on the MPEG2 file that you created using Chapteredit in order to see if there is a detected audio stream in the file? Then let us know. By the way where can one get Chapteredit from? What is its home site URL? I ask as I have never heard of it before now. p.s. The only time I have had no audio using Nero Vision is when I created an MPEG2 file using MainConcept (standalone) MPEG encoder. I never solved the problem, so I dump using MainConcept standalone MPEG encoder.
I downloaded the program and it says: Codec = AC3, Stat = Codec(s) installed Info = 48000Hz, 192 kb/s (2 channel) As for finding the program ChapterEdit, if you just type 'ChapterEdit' in Google, it will find the proram. Thanks, greenda4
Dude Burning is all about codecs, if u dont have the right codecs or codecs then the burnt file wont have lots of stuff, in your case audio
To go a bit further on his comment. It sounds like you are missing ac3 codec. To check that go to folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\AudioPlugins and look for ac3.dll or nxmyac3.dll.. If not in there, you need an ac3 codec for nero.
Thanks for replying. I looked in the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\AudioPlugins and I have a file named nxMyAC3.dll. Any other suggestions?? Thanks, greenda4
That maybe the problem. With that one I seem to remember you would need the nero replacement wav codec. It still may not work as the nx type fla and flap seem to not work with the newer versions of nero. I have no problems with this one for ac3 and this one for wav. Remember (if you use those) to delete the nx one or take it out of the codec folder while testing.
Thanks for replying. I deleted the nx one and downloaded the AC3.dll and wav.dll into the plugin folder, but still no success. I still get the same message. Any other suggestions?? Thanks, greenda4
Thanks for the reply! I downloaded the SLD Codec and nothing has changed. I still get the same message in Nero "Dolby Digital 2 DVD Plug-in Required". Any other suggestions?? Thanks, greenda4
The only thing left to do is either get the multichannel plugin here http://www.nero.com/enu/catalog.html Or get the full version nero (not oem) which has it in it.
