    Hi Beltazar
    Here's some suggestions:
Let's update the Nero - you are way behind - update to 6.6.0.18. Use these links:
    Package 1
    http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe

    Package 2 (recode & vision)
    http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe
Quite a bit behind on the firmware too - update to the latest JY08.
This should help your drive w/ the 16x media your are using.
    http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2028
    Slow it down to 8x.

Try these and keep us posted.

    Hey Beltazar
Did you update the firmware too?
Definitley needed esp. since you are using 'newer' 16x media.

That's also the 1st thing to check on w/ the power calibration error - firmware & media.
Ritek are okay - better would be Verbatim or made in Japan Sony Fuji or maxell.

How about the burn speed - take it down to 8x?

Check these out and if still a no go post the last log and will take a peek again.

    Hello Beltazar.
As binikie has already mentioned you should first check media.I was also having the same problem a couple days back.I first changed the media but that did not work, then I had to upgrade my firmware, and then only I was able to burn DVD/CDs.So you just go to the home page of your manufac of your CD/DVD drive and download the firmware. And make sure you read the steps of upgrading your firmware as it a tricky one, though not difficilt. This is b'coz you will have to erase the content of flash mem of your DVD/CD drive and put there the new one.Hope you find this information is useful.Thanks.
