I'm new to burning, and have just managed to create a DVD from a tv recording (vision dtv). The problem is that it won't play on anything as it is is mpeg4. How do I chose what format I want? I've read something about Video_ts files but that has just confused me even more and the Nero help manual is so long winded and hundreds of pages long so I am reluctant to print it.
What do you want to play the mpg4 on PC or DVD Player? If it's for PC download the K-Lite MEGE Codec Pack from here http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Mega_Codec_Pack.htm it provides everything you'll need to play it even a video player. As for the format changing thing, I'm not sure cos' I've never made a nero file from a recording.
Thanks Darkhadou, Its mainly DVD I need it for. I've managed to do it before using nero, I think Nero Express, but I'm not sure and don't want to keep wasting DVDs. If I don't get any further I'll follow your advice re the download. Thanks again.
