hi i have nero 6 edition and i've been trying to burn some movie files i have but they are to big how can i fix this
Store bought movies needs to be ran through Nero Recode to fit to a 4.7 SL Disc if it won't fit to a SL you need a DL They make them big to make it hard to backup
You can also run them through DVD Shrink and cut out any trailers etc., theres a guide by bbmayo in my sig on how to use DVDShrink
that only works for dvd movies i'm talking about a movie file i downloaded that i'm trying to put on a dvd everytime i try its says its to big is there something i'm missing with nero 6 that can make it fit
I'm guessing you are using Vision? If not what app are you using in Nero and what's the total file size? Nero will usually adjust the quality setting to a lower one if you add the file(s) and it thinks once they are converted they won't fit on the disc. Will give you are pop up asking if you want to change it. What are your settings in Vision if this is what you are using? Look in More>Default Video Options under the DVD Video tab. If still to big after converting - instead of burning to disc - save to the hard drive and run the files thru Recode to get it to fit.
@binkie7 How can...I get nero express to work with my dvd Burner? which is a samsung it does'nt wanna work when...I do my disc Quality Scan only my dvd rom doe's...Please help if you can...
Hey bigwill68 Start a new thread in Nero. Give the make & model of the Samsung and version of Nero you are using. Need a few more details too - like what's happening in Express - doesn't recognize the drive? Or getting a burn failure? Is express the only app in Nero giving you a problem w/ this drive? Nero doesn't support all drive manufacturers in the quality scan. Samsung may not be supported. You can pm me a link or I'll look for your thread.
