Maybe they finally fixed the problem with the MP3 to CD skipping and I can use my version 7 Or there will be a pile of new posters with problems
Hi, Has anyone tried this official release yet? For some reason I am thinking they will get nero 7 up to speed soon.
And heres our first Nero log from this new version http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/386909
Hi, I don't know what gives here. But I have had no issues with the last three updates from Nero. Mind you I don't use Nero for any form of audio,mp3,mp4 etc.
@zebadee , If you hang around this forum (Nero) for a while you'll soon see that you are in the minority when it comes to problems arising from the use of some versions of Nero7.
According to the log posted, citr0003 still has the version 6 interface installed, which probably means the install wasn't done correctly. I feel the problem should not be considered until a correct install is performed.
@saltgrass, If you care to read the post to which I referred you will see that I had already offered that information about removing Version 6.
If you would have read my post, it had nothing to do with his situation, but a general observation about credibility of the posting. If I would have wanted to advise him, I would have posted in that thread.
Some of the problems we have seen with new nero 7 releases are: Buffer overflow problems, and Audio sync problems. Both directly releated to the nero version. If you go back to the older version, everything works. Because nero has so many different parts, some ppl never have a problem, because they dont use the part of nero that has bugs. I will only upgrade if the whole thing is stable, not just parts of it. Some updates like in 6x remove the automatic burn with nero when using shrink. That doesnt sound like an improvement to me. Its nice to know a new release has come out. If it has been out for a month, and no problems are reported that are version only related, then, i might update my 7.0.8.2 . We are the beta testers for Nero. Its pretty obvious Nero is not doing a thorough testing of their new releases. We are their test subjects.
All I want is to have the audio synch problem fixed, I use it to backup audio books to CD that are MP3 files, and I hate it that every track has skipping in the beginning. When I got my current comp last Sept. I installed Nero 7 and it gave me a big headache I thought the drives were bad because of this skipping, then I found out that it was not just me. Considering Nero has had a year to fix this problem and it still is not corrected says something about this version. Just MHO on this.
I still hate that they haven't fixed Nero Recode 2 yet.I hate recoding a movie only to wait until Nero recode copies the files to my folder again.I there a way to fix this?
I agree on that the 6 version of Recode is faster, and I don't know why you have to wait for it to go through it twice, and NVE is really slow loading.
It will do the analysing process and then it will do the encoding but when it gets to around 99.7% complete it says please wait while recode copies the files. It will take around 4-5 minutes for this and then it finally finishes.I think I'll go back to 7.0.3.2.
Okay I decided to try 7 again, thank god I have Acronis to restore. Put the new version of 7 in and tried to encode an MP3 and it would not recognize my Lame SN, would not even let me put it in, would not encode period. Cleaned it out and went down to 7.0.8.2 and it would encode but then would get to 99% and freeze. I have no trouble with 6, but 7 is causing major problems for me, and there is really nothing that should conflict. Back to 6 for the time being.......eventually this is gonna work out, I hope
Well, I am already back to 7082. NVE4 of the «update» doesn't work with my music avi that I want to put on a DVD. Weird sounds and colors going nuts. 2 bad. From now on I will stick to 7082.
@arniebear, I use 7.0.8.2 after having tried versions after that, havent tried the latest yet and dont think I will at this stage. My main use is burning AVI files with NeroVision. Recently I have been using ConvertX and have found it a good easy prog. Nero should have someone tune into this forum, Cheers
Don't I wish, I think Nero has gotten so big they have just forgotten about their consumer. This new version just wants to do too much. I started using Nero back at version 3 for audio because CD Creator was a dog and Nero worked well. This is the first time I have been dissatisfied with Nero. I think I will try experimenting with some other programs, I am sooo sorry I paid for this version.
I gave up on Nero 7.x series a couple of months ago, went back to version 6 that came with my Sony Burner. Even though I got the version 7.0 for free after rebate in a Thanksgiving sale at Best Buy, still feel that I wasted my time and effort with it. Happy with 6.6.0.18, will stick with it before Nero sticks it to me with an updated 7.0
