Hello Please can you give me some advice.. It seems that whenever i burn the following video file downloads (Lost/Prison Break/Desperate Houswives etc) on to a dvdr disc i get a mistime in the picture and audio! The files will play fine direct from the comp to monitor, only when i burn them to disc i get the off sync problem. Everything else i burn onto disc.. Movies, Music, photo's etc will work fine every time, its just the above type of tv based torrent/rapidshare downloads that mess up? Also occasionaly i get a slight stammer in the picture, like a split second freeze. Do i need to alter the sample format or change any other settings? Please give me some advice.. Thanks
To be clear:If you elect to convert the files to DVD format and save the output to a folder (before burning to disk)on the hard drive, can the files be played back using the PC media player ok?
ps.. is there any chance that xvid or hdtv could be causing the problems as this is listed in the file titles?
i just used nero info tool and it seems my dvd rom does not support hd dvd-r writing.. god dam it, lol, at least i know the problem now, thats why everything else burns ok but not the tv based series's! You know what my next questions going to be? yep, is there any way of enabling this option or changing the settings of my dvd drive? please let me know thanks
EDIT. I just seen your message, but I thought you were converting to standard dvd format for playback on a standard DVD player - unless you are trying to produce an HD DVD? I'm only guessing that the problem is during the conversion in Nero. If the output from Nero is out of sync, then I can only surmise it's because of the type of file - other files convert ok? If the conversion is causing the problem, then you can try another converter and if that conversion is ok, you can dive further into the Nero aspect.
i just presumed that to copy and view a hdtv file that i would need to have a compatible burner with supported hd dvd-r writing. No you are right though, i just wish to copy the file/s to disc and view it on my dvd player, and yes other files convert and play fine every time. I am using a pioneer dvd-rw dvr-112d rom and Nero 7 premium. Would i be better upgrading to Nero 8 or using a different converter? And should this be happening at all? thanks
Right ppl is everyone ready for this the one and only way if you ever wanna copy dvds without the sync out of line with the audio,, Well 1st things 1st 1, download a copy of Nero8 from any torrent site. If the file is a RAR file you can exstract it useing WinRARits free. 2, before installing Nero8you will need to uninstall all other nero software, In this case i just did systom restore as remove all progs didnt uninstall it all 3, then once its exstracted with WinRARyou can then install Nero8thats all there is to it ive tryed it my self and nero8 is workin fine and looks really good too this applys to AVI's. next im happy to say that my problem with nero7 was that i put a background on the menu with the theem song also tryed and tested with the simpsons movie and thats when i started gettin the sync/audio problems an ever since then no matter how manytimes i tryed to install it, it still wouldnt work i even formatted my computer to see if that would change anything but that still didnt work so ppl when usein as i havent the guts to test this out plz do not try to do the same silly thing i did as its now workin for me on nero8 if anyone has any questions please do ask my email is itsmrjt@homtail.com Il be happy to answer any question or problems u may have
thanks mrkt that may have been my problem also, using a menu background picture, also i have downloaded and tested xilisoft dvd-creator, works great and very easy to use, will be upgrading to Nero 8 soon also.. thanks for all the input
