at the minute i am using win avi to convert files to dvd but my friend uses nero he recons its the dogs but when i go to convert files they are all distorted and fuzzy i`ve tried different codec packs and i`m using ffdshow at minute just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and can help me resolve it any suggestions would be grateful thanks
Okay try updating to the the latest. Try playing the avi's in Showtime 1st and check the quality. If bad there then Vision probably will be too.
done that got nero 7.10 picture looks fine now thanks for the tip BUT it seems to take like 12hrs to convert is this normal or am i still doing summet wrong????
sorry to butt in but this program is great ConvertXtoDVD it will take around and hour or shorter and it burns straight to a dvd and it converts.
No need to be sorry 07anto07 & you're not butting in btw That's what forums are for share the wealth of knowledge Yeah I use ConvertX too - good program. @bigvern79 12 hours is a bit too long. What are your system specs - like processor and ram is fine. How long does WinAVI take? Doing any multitasking when using Vision? Keeping up on the pc maintenance like disc defrag, disc cleanup, registry cleaner and virus scans?
not sure on processer but its an pretty old computer only got 256 ram i think it intel 3 processer and it takes about 2 to 3 hours with win avi
bigvern download convertxtodvd just type it into google you willbe really happy. binkie7 backed me up there on one of his reply go on give it a try and see what u think.
"pretty old computer only got 256 ram i think it intel 3 processer " You are on really shaky ground. Nero is very resource intensive, especially for transcoding. That is why dual-core CPU's are popular, along with lots of ram, and HD free space. What version of Windows?
