Hello, first off thanks for reading these newbie posts and helping us out!! Is there a way to encode video files using the Nero suite to convert/encode my video files into DVD format? I want to save those files and delete the video files that are encoded in Divx. From there I want to create and burn DVDs using Nero. I dont want to wait to encode files every time I want to make a DVD of my video files. ********************** Here is what I am thinking about doing right now. 1. Recode the video files with NERO <RECODE DVD_Video>. 2. Drag and drop my converted video files into NERO <Burn DVD-Video Files> 3. Author the DVD and Burn it 4. I dont want to have to wait to encode my files every time I want to burn a DVD. Instead I want to just encode the videos ahead of time and keep them saved on my HDD and just burn them at my convenience. So far Ive tried a couple different combinations and I either have to re-encode the files or they come out in a Video_TS folder, does that mean that it has already authored the DVD? Is what I want to do even possible? Thanks so much for reading my post!! All help will be greatly appreciated!!
@hya5678 I don't know if I am just tired as I just got home from work, or your post is a little confuzing! So, what did you use to convert your Divx to DVD? When you do that, the files come out as a Video_Ts and a Audio_Ts. All you have to do is open the Video_Ts in nero Burning Rom and burn your DVD. No reencoding or anything, unless, your Video_Ts is larger then the DVD you use, like more than 4300Mb for a single layer disc. If it is not(and it shouldn't if you set the target right in your converter), then you have to shrink it, to reencod it. You can do the converting from Divx to DVD with nero Vision also and then burn the Video_Ts.
