    Hello

As a new member and user of Nero 7, I have a question in regards to Nero Vision 4.1.0.4

I have created a DVD menu with added buttons to 6 short videos.
When one show is clicked on and played it automatically runs the next video and all others in sequence.

Is it at all possible to run only one show and when ended have it return to the menu were viewer could choose another video.

    Thanks in advance.

nope, it automatically goes to the next clip. All you could do is create a menu and navigate your way to each video via your dvd player

Thanks for your prompt reply - appreciated.
Unfortunate - would be a nice feature.

    Hey Mate,
Not sure whats wrong with the other guy who replied but Nero Vision 4 does have this feture. If your in the menu editing section click 'More>>' down the bottom to get the options screen up. Then there is a drop down box with 'When finished playing a title:'. Click that and choose 'Jump to main menu'. That should work. I have not actually tried this myself but saw it down there the first day i got the new version and was messing around... Enjoy!

    I think you got it.
Have not tried it yet myself - but 2 nice features.

    " Start Playback With "
    &
    *** " When finished playing a title " - choices
    *Play next
    *Jump to main menu
    *Loop title

Jump to main menu - should do the trick I had in question.

    Much appreciated !

Was that feature always available in 7.0.0.0 & 7.0.1.2
    And I missed it !!!!

Or is it a new feature of 7.0.1.4 ???

I now have 7.0.1.4 installed so I cannot verify.

    Hey again,
I have no idea if it was in the older version of Vision 4 and i'm not sure if it was even in Vision Express 1-3. I'm assuming that most people would have updated to the latest version anyway so that question is not needed. The older verions of Vision Express made corrupted DVD's whenever i used them. Vision 4 is the first one that actually works. Even though there are still a few bugs in the actual program though.....

just wondering if anyone knows why this is happening.

I am trying to create a dvd using nero vision 4. I have 4 videos and i create a menu using those four videos and have them animated, they are also titled and numbered 1 -4 . I select title menus only as i dont need chapters for each video. Once i get to the preview section i can select each video button and navigate the menu. However once its burnt to dvd i cant select any video, it loops and sits at the menu i cant even select using the numbers why is this?

    ageajo - Hi

When you get to the Menu page, you will see a " More button "
    Click to open

1st section is " Start playback with " ( name of title )do you have a title listed ? - if so try
    Choose Menu

2nd section " When finished playing title ", you have 3 options.
    Play next title
    Jump to main menu
    Loop title

Do you have " Loop title checked or Play next title " ??

If so you may want to try " Jump to main menu "

You should be then able to use the arrow keys on DVD player to choose a title to play. Once finished it should then return to the menu for you to choose another title.

Let us know if this helps.

Just a thought unless someone else can give you a solution.

I have never done a annimated title, but I read somewere on the forum it was not working properly but not sure if Vision 4.
You may want to give it a try without and see what happens.

    I run the latest version Nero 7 - 7.0.54
    Nero Vision 4 ( build 4.1.0.13 )
The menu without annimation works fine for me.

I tryed turning off animations however still doesn't allow me to select a title like in preview.. This doesn't make sense.. Do you need chapters? or can titles work by themselfs?

The animations are the problem thanks remcd.. I have another problem that i didn't relise, when i turned off the animations and burnt video to hdd and tryed to play the vob file. It displays the menu for 2 secs then closes. I couldnt' test to see if i could navigate.

However when i play the vob through media player it works.. Strange.. Do you know why animations aren't working with navigation? and why powerdvd only plays the still menu for a sec and then stop?

dvds not working with animated menus is a known problem, it was supposedly fixed in 7.0.54 but unfortunately they broke everthing else lol. it will probably be taken care of in the next update.

as for a dvd title flashing for a second then nothing, it happens in nero showtime as well. i just press the stop button (after the menu flashes)then the play button and it works fine.

At least the annimations not working has narrowed the problem.
As far as your other question

    I have no idea, sorry.
I use Nero Showtime and all seems to work correctly.

Try opening your files in Windows Explorer and clicking the
    Video_TS.IFO
    File to start presentation
See if that starts up your menu and stays on screen and works as it should. ( maybe narrow that down too. )

I think once burnt to DVD and played in DVD player it should also work OK.
