After installing Nero 7 OEM that came with the new dvd burner, it worked fine for about 30 days and then I started getting this error message. It happens when I attempt to import a mpg file in Nero Vision Essentials. I saw one thread about here, but no fix for it. Any ideas? Also, it just now allowed me to import one in about six mpg files.
Additional info: I get a trial expired error now. It says my 30-day trial version of MPEG-2 Video Decoding has expired. The old version 6 of Nero I had did not have this limitation. So do I now have to but something else to get functionality I had in past version??!?!?!?!?!?!
Seriously? They are charging for something that you use to get for free with the application? So should I just go back to version 6? Is this Ahead's official position? Sorry for all the questions, but this seems ridiculous to me. I posted this question to Ahead Tech support but have not heard anything from them. Thanks in advance, Derry
You can still make MPEG files with the OEM version but you need the plug-in for the AC-3 audio. http://www.nero.com/enu/dvd-video-plugin.html or you could just go back to a previous version.
