I just upgraded from nero 6 to nero 7.
With nero 6 I was able to burn m4a files straight to cd.
With nero 7 when I try to burn m4a files which for some reason now says AAC audio and has what looks like a nero showtime icon....it says I may be able to burn them with a dedicated plug-in.....I thought nero 7 would have all the plug-ins automatically. Anyway...I may have installed Nero 7 with a wrong option or something...I'm not sure...I still have Nero 6 so if no-one can help me I can always go back to it...but seeing I now have Nero 7 premium it's a bit of a waste if it doesn't work properly.

You can check the presence of plugins in:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\AudioPlugins

Any extra plugins or encoders you installed for Nero6 should reside here.
If you used the Clean tool they may have been wiped.

When I went from 6 to 7 I had to put the plugns back in that common directory.

Showtime is the default player in Nero 7 because, unlike 6, there is no MediaPlayer in Nero 7.
