Ok, so i want to burn a AVI file, witch has reicently become a WM file and i dont know how onto DVD. ever since i installed nero 7 premium, windows media player (10) and nero showtime have both failed to play them. everytime you load it up it says 'playing' but doesnt move, and if you try to move it it crashes. Im sure ive got the decoder and stuff.... Also if you uninstall nero it works fine again. Anyone be able to help? Thanks
I don't really have an answer, but how did the .avi turn into a Windows Media file? The latest version of Nero 7 has some issues with different file types. For example, if I load a .avi file in NeroVision (used to burn also), it only plays about every 5th frame. If I click on Export and maybe click on a couple of buttons there without changing anything, I can go back to the timeline and the file will play normally---strange. The last version seems to be worse than an earlier version. All I might suggest, which I haven't done, would be to turn it into a Nero Digital Media file if you can't get it to work.
