Grrrrrr! This might be a long one as it has been ongoing for a while! I have been trying to make a dvd with a title and a couple of transitions, for almost a year now LOL! Everything is fine, including a preview of it as i get to the end, until I come to burn it onto a disk! All I get is the title, then three hours of a black screen! Having left it for a while, and come back to it, I have been lookin through the forums for some answers. My problem is now a whole new one! I read somewhere that a clean install could solve some problems, so I downloaded that, uninstalled nero, downloaded the latest version and tried to reinstall it. However, I now get a message saying something along the lines of 'installation cannot create necessary files in c......local/temp/nero/cab/tmp Please make sure you have write permission for this folder. I went a bit batty after that trying to set permissions on folders, only to discover that I have XP home edition and as the owner, I cant do that unless I log on as administrator in safe mode!!!!!! Which I did. I also tried installing Nero while I was in safe mode...still the same message! Can anyone please help!!
The latest versions of Nero7, 7.2.0.3 and 7.2.0.3b are full of bugs, once again heres my standard fix Nero API version: 7.2.0.3 and 7.2.0.3b These latest versions of Nero are full of bugs, I recommend you uninstall, run this clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then install 7.0.8.2 a more stable version from here http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845
Yes....been there.....set permissions in safe mode......deleted it.....deleted all of its contents......think it has a log of somesort in there. Just strikes me as a bit mad that I had nero installed, and all of a sudden it wont!
Ok...it is now installing.....dont know what I did...went thru all the same procedures as before, was reading a coupla other posts about the same problem and decided to try reinstall again....and hey presto it worked!Just a shame I dont know what the solution was lol! Thx for ur help Gwendoline
No problems, sometimes Nero is a little bit hard to install for some reason, if you have any problems, just get back to us, cheers.
Hey i am a new user and it worked for me too i installed nero 7.2.0.3b you just need to decompress the cab directory that's it wow
