I have been using a memorex dual layer drive, no issues, using nero 7 lately, burned a few (10-15) dvd's last 5 days no problems at all, tried making a data dvd tonight, and nero 7 starts the time, but 30 minutes later still going and not burning, any ideas what can be wrong? Ive uninstalled and reinstalled, checked all dma settings etc..??? thanks

what model is your dvd burner? I face the same problem previously but after upgrading my firmware for Samsung writemaster ts-h552u to the latest, everything works okay.

i also disable the dvd highspeed compability option in the recoder setting.

you might want to upgrade your firmware to the latest.

    good luck.

first thing, its a memorex 32023292, 16x16 internal, I called memorex for the hell of it, one of the "corporate tech guys" usually is good with his stuff told me too defrag due to me transfering large files/folders such as movies, or saved/ripped dvd's etc from one drive to another, apparently makes nero sensitive to where it takes forever to burn, So I defragged my C drive and wow big difference.. no problems so far, but I must say defragging makes a big deal with nero from what I understand so whoever reads this, DEFRAG often when it comes to burning dvd's of any kind, most of mine were mps, mpeg and stored files etc so goodluck all
