Im having a couple of problems but I have been able to burn dvds.

It takes over an hour to make a copy. What's wrong

    Here are some error messages

Im getting a message about dma. I follow the promt, check the box and reboot. But I dont notice anything different. Where do I go to confirm dma is enabled?

I have been saying 'no' and continuing with the burn of dvd. I have had success (4 copies) but sometimes I get the error message and/or it had taken 1 hour

    Help would be appreciated

    Thank you

Thank you for the help. The link was good.
All my drives were dma enabled (because I had clicked 'yes' on the box.
BUt because you dont see anything change, I didnt want to click on 'dont show this message again" because I thought I might need the message
THey should say "the drive is now dma enabled"

    Thank you

    Maceasar,
You are creating a image for burning that was why it took so long.

You only want to copy one dvd to another dvd right so you dont need to create a image...creating an image takes up a lot time...just simply copy to copy will do.

Im not making an image of the dvd

I think it takes so long because the Maxell dvds are 16x

Ill buy faster dvds from now on

    Thanks

To compensate for your substandard media, regulate your burn at 4X. It is also recommended to get better discs i.e. Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. Anyway, try updating your firmware, and see if it gives you any good fortune.
