I still cannot get the patent activiation after trying the following: 1) uninstall with clean tool 2) download and install latest version fom web site using purchased serial number with all firewalls off. 3) install from purchased disc all firewalls off 3weeks I have been trying to get an answer. I emailed Techsupport and they suggested the above, I phoned in and was told I emailed the wrong department and needed to email the patent activation department. I have gotten a confirmation that my email was received but no resolution to the problem. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. HAPPY HOLIDAYS DR.
You might try deleting any Nero/Ahead references from your registry. Did you have a previous version installed? Will the software install in trial version mode?
There was a trial version prior to me trying the purchased version. I did use a registry cleaner after removing the program. Thanks
Do a search for "nero" or "ahead" and delete anything found. You might try going back to a restore point prior to the trial version and installing. As a last resort, backup your data, reformat your HDD, and reinstall all software including the OS.
Going back to a restore point prior to the trial version did the trick. I am a happy transcoder now. Thanks and best wishes for the New Year.
