I see I'm not the only one who is fed up with Nero 7. The enhanced version was supposed to clear up the compatibility problem with Vista but it has only made it worse. This piece of junk has even co-opted my P2P downloads. Everything on my P2P shows up with their goofy icon and when you download a file it will only open on Nero's player. If you try to run the movie on Windows Media Player you only get a picture but no sound. After this last burn attempt failed I uninstalled Nero and the files I had stored to burn returned with the original icons. The problem is that now they will only play sound. The system worked fine for about 3 weeks, but gradually I started having an assortment of problems. I have sent off a number of requests to Nero support, but they don't reply. Nero 6 was a great system but I don't know if it is compatible with Vista. How these clowns could screw up a good product is beyond me.
Nero 6 is not vista compatible, HOWEVER, I see no reason the built in compatibility wizard will not solve this. Install(is possible) then right click the NeroStartSmart.exe and choose the compatibility tab. The rest should be obvious. I hear the compatibility function works great in vista.
i wouldnt hold your breath lol, im on xp and still having quite bit of probs on Nero 7.10, but it cant hurt to try, and if nothing else go back to the last Nero 6 they made. It was the best ever, Then 7 comes along and ruins all the progress.
i thought i was going to mess with it tonight but i just got off of work and i am to sleepy so i am going to just wait until tomorrow.
