k heres the deal i downloaded nero 7 from here http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_applications/nero.cfm then i installed and burned a movie, fine. then one day an error popped up, "fatal error installation corrupt-please reinstall NERO" i click ok. i think (pretty sure) i have both nero 7 and 6.6. and um i go to control panel, add/remove programs, and both neros are there. i try to uninstall nero 7,(385 mb) and it wont, that stupid error sign always comes up. BUT i CAN use nero 6 but the thing is, i am trying to watch a dvd and it wont because of this problem "fatal error"
BUT something that someone might help me with, i tried to open nero 7 "startsmart" and said files were missing.
i checked all over here, and i couldnt find the answer. can someone direct me to the answer, if its here, or can someone help me? thanks

this is what I would do......... open up Nero StartSmart.....Nero Toolkit....Nero ProductSetUp...... Remove Nero Products...... and remove them all! Then I would check Add/Remove Programs in the Contol Panel. They should be all gone! If not, try to uninstall Nero from there. Once all your Neros are gone then I would do a registry clean up and reboot. then reinstall Nero! This should correct and put in the files that were missing and or giving you error messages. Good luck...... let me know how you made out.

k all done! all a success, but, ok everyone knows the famous "extracting" white screen when opening NERO right? well i downloaded nero 7 on #$%^&%$^&#$ and well i opened it, all were saying extracting, then there was like maybe 10 or so that set cannot not extract, i think they were cab files. well not all at once but as the files were being extracted, it was every other one. but nero 6 is ok, no "cannot extract". is nero 7 better than 6.6. or what? mainly for burning DVD video files (in video_ts) because i had success with nero 7 but maybe its not as good as nero 6, i dont know, thats why im asking, thanks!!!!

Nero 7 works for me..... so far so good! Some other members have problems with it and go back to 6. So far I haven't had their problems. I must be lucky!

I am having a problem ever since i reinstalled the NERO 7 Ultra software, after follwing their instuction to use the prouduct setup process. Since then whenever I try to rip a CD, I get the following error message "Audio plugin manager and/or audio plugins are not avaliable, audio tracks cannot be stored". I've checked the directory and all teh plugins are there in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\AudioPlugins DIRECTORY. Since then I feel I have tried everything, uninstalling and reinstalling, and just keep getting this same messsage. Does anybody know how I can fix this?

I thought that the Nero Plugins for Nero 7 was located in C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Nero Fast CD-DVD Burning Plug-in! hmmmmmmmm?

The audio plugins weren't installed in C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Nero Fast CD-DVD Burning Plug-in, so I tried copying them there to see if that would help. Unfortunetly I'm still getting the same error message as before.
