I'm hoping someone can give me a hand with some problems I've been having. I had Nero 6 installed and DVD Shrink, everything was streamlined perfectly DVD Shrink would encode and burn automatically @ 16x with no problems whatsoever for about a year. One morning I got up to notice my AntiVirus(bitdefender) was disabled and got the first of what has turned to be many burn error messages. I don't if somehow some program disabled my antivirus and IP blocker and screwed with the firmware on my burner or not, but I completely wiped my HD clean and reinstalled XP an Nero, same problems. I stepped up to Nero 7 hoping that would fix the problem to no avail. If I set it up to burn automatically thru Shrink I get the error message below, I can burn the files using Nero Burning Rom but it hangs before it writes the lead-out. Real strange. Usually the DVD is playable but it always hangs my Nero and I have to hard restart. If anyone can give me some ideas it would be much appreciated, maybe my burner is just blown, it's happened before. Hi cartman76 Here's a few suggestions: Still have some of Nero 6 left - so uninstall Nero run the clean tools then reinstall. Here's a link to the clean tools for 6 & 7: http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Clean_Tools.html Reinstall Nero. Way too much memory in use. So no multi tasking and close as many programs as you can. Take it down to 8x. Tyr buring the files w/ another program like ImgBurn(free). You can download a tweak to Shrink to set up autoburn w/ ImgBurn. http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=63869 Or you can just have shrink create an iso or use the build mode (for the video_ts folder) to burn directly. http://imgburn.com If that fails too post the log from imgburn - just need to press 'L' 1st for the log to generate.
