Does any have any useful guides for Nero 7 when it comes to backup DVDs? What about pc games? I ask this because I tried backing up a DVD using nero 7 but it wouldn't let me because it said it had a copyright protection on it and couldn't read. What should i do?
Nero is a good burning engine, but it will NOT burn or backup any encrypted dvds with protections. You need free tools like: DVDFAB Decrypter - (free- possible one of the greatest ripper right now), get it here http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm DVD Decrypter - (free - still a good ripper and burning engine, you'll need to google and search for any available download site, Afterdawn no longer carried it due to some laws). VobBlanker - (free - this is very useful, it can cut, edit, preview and blank out any unwanted VTS files, it will process and filter bad sectors as well). Get it here http://members.aol.com/posunplugged/jsoto/VobBlanker_2010_exe.zip DVD43 - (free - cracking engine runs in the background while you rip the movie into hard drive). Go here http://www.dvd43.com/ AnyDVD - (retail - cracking engine, it has 21 days trial) http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html
@Bestmiller, you have been given several guides on how to overcome your problems. Looks like you are NOT reading them. You surely are testing peoples patience.
im really confused about nero's features and what it can do. I checked their site but the information provided is so general. I was trying to back up a dvd but it seems like im going in circles. Can any1 help me out? Thanks.
@Bestmiler You need to provide more info and or be more specific when asking for helps, ie what movie you're trying to burn/backup? What Nero application did you used? What exactly is the error(s) you're getting? Computer specs (ram, processor, etc.), burner's make/model/firmware, what media you're using? On the other hand, if you've already burned and it failed to burn, then it'll be nice if you can post the error log that Nero generated. To get the very last section of your logs from Nero 7, go here: C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Core\NeroHistory -- now, REMEMBER to EDIT out your Nero serial before you're going to post back here. Again, this is what I said on my first reply here:
